Yesterday we had Nike officially drop plans to bring the Nike+ FuelBand to Android and today we have another competitor entering the market. Under Armour is set to release its own monitoring product called Armour 39. Unlike what we have seen in the market recently the Armour 39 will be a chest strap and not worn on the wrist like the FuelBand.
Complete details on the new device have been slim to come by but we know the following. The strap will initially work with iOS and retail for $150. The company will also be releasing a watch that will interact with the strap for an additional $200. No official word yet about Android support.
We have reached out to Under Armour for additional information and will update this post as it becomes available.
