Just days before Mobile World Congress, Acer has announced their new smartphones for 2013. This includes the Acer Liquid E1 and Z2. The Liquid E1 being a mid-range device and the Z2 being entry-level. Both devices will be running on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
The Liquid E1 will have a 4.5 inch qHD display, 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 5 megapixel AF rear facing camera with LED flash, 0.3 megapixel front-facing camera and a 1760 mAh battery. Other features with E1 include optional dual SIM card and dual speakers.
Acer’s Liquid Z2 being a little smaller in size has a 3.5 inch HVGA display, 1 GHz processor, a 3 megapixel or 5 megapixel camera, 512 MB of RAM and a 1300 mAh battery.
Neither device will come with LTE capability. For now these two devices will be available in France, Belgium, Netherlands and Ukraine, followed by Russia, the UK and Italy. No price or release date has been giving at this time, but hopefully more details will come out at MWC.
