When I hear HTC, I think Android and Windows. I hear RIM, I think BlackBerry. I hear Apple, I think iPhone. What do I think when I hear LG? Umm home appliances. Okay, okay, MAYBE theres an off chance Ill reminisce on the LG Chocolate and all its glorious colors with Verizon. Lets be real though, LG doesnt quite spark your interest, not mine at least. Their new Android 4-inch beast might just change that might.
For now all we have to go off are some pictures that Engadget was able to leak on their site along with some basic specs:
- Dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset.
- 8 megapixel camera w/ LED Flash
- 1080p video recording
- Front-facing camera
- 1500mAh battery
First, Im impressed with the dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset. 8MP camera w/ flash and all the rest, eh, no big deal; standard features on more than half the phones available today and will be the minimum standard when its set to release early next year. It might be something to reckon with if released now, but by then I doubt it. Kind of like computers, were entering a stage where specs are practically obsolete the day theyre released. The capabilities of smart phones today parallel each other in so many ways. I personally think it will very much so have to do with aesthetics and user interface when deciding which phone to go with going forward, but well see how LG does.
