Google & Samsung Making Excuses

By Troy Brown

The Unpacked event Samsung and Google had been planning for CTIA has been canceled. The official excuse is “We believe this is not the right time to announce a new product as the world expresses tribute to Steve Jobs’s passing.”

Give me a break, as always the Android OS developer A.K.A. Google and device manufacturer A.K.A. Samsung can’t get their shit together. Tim Cook knew Steve Jobs was in his final hours of life when he announced the iPhone 4S and he did it just like any professional person would, with great poise and finesse.

Google and Samsung canceling a product launch because their biggest competitor’s Chairman of the Board passed away is just another indicator that the Android ecosystem is flawed.

Google, Samsung, pull your heads out of your asses and compete, your “not the right time” statement just screams, “we are not prepared”. Let’s face it, whatever you planned on announcing was not going to pull very many iPhone users away.

Compete, don’t make excuses! I hope no one dies around CES in January. I would hate to have the Android community to have to wait yet again.
