The rumors have panned out and Verizon is taking pre-orders for its Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Verizon currently list shipping times between 4 to 6 weeks when you place an order.
The 16GB model is $529 and the 32GB model is $629. You will need a data plan under 2 year contract. These plans start at $30 a month for 2GB of data and go up to $80 for 10GB.

Looks like the promised 4G LTE upgrade will be coming to the Motorola XOOM, in SEPTEMBER. Yes September! Motorola had promised the upgrade only being 90 days away at launch which would have been late May. So after 7 months you will finally be able to update your tablet
Today, XOOM owners will receive an email stating that the 4G LTE upgrade for their device will be available in 45 days or so. Read more
Verizon is advancing their 4G LTE (Long Term Evaluation) in an additional 28 markets starting Thursday, bringing their total to 102 cities with access to their 4G LTE. On top of expanding their 4G LTE network, Verizon currently has nine 4G devices which include three smartphones, a tablet, two hotspots and three USB modems.

It looks likenVerizon may be switching to the microSIM card for their 4G LTE network. Anyone familiar with the AT&T iPhone 4 knows about the extremely small SIM card.
A leaked document from Verizon states that the soon to be released Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be using the microSIM for LTE access.
Before anyone gets exited there will be no compatibility between the AT&T and Verizon LTE networks. While they do share a sliver of spectrum they do operate on different frequencies overall and Verizon has expressed no interest in making anything compatible with AT&T. Read more
