Samsung has a media event on October 11, and there has been a large amount of speculation on a music device being launched. Today via an Australian site by the name of Telecom-Presse we get details and specs.
We now know of two possible devices, the GT-S6010 Galaxy Music and the Music DUOS Galaxy GT-S6012. The smartphones are listed as having stereo speakers and an FM tuner.
They are listed as having an A9 processor running 850MHz with 512MB of RAM. This falls into a lower line of specs but still more than enough to deliver a good music environment. The screen is reported to be 3″ and running Android 4.0. We know for a fact this device is already on Samsung’s Jelly Bean update list so there should be no worry there.
The devices come with 4GB of internal memory and are expandable by microSD to provide an additional 32GB.
This device seems very focused on delivering music, which was Samsung’s intention and operating as a phone. The small screen and lack of processing power will make this smartphone a no go for anyone looking for more flexibility and the ability to game.
