Hey Apple fans…. The day you have been waiting for has finally arrived! Apple has released iOS 9.1 that has over 150 new emoji characters, including a middle finger and a taco. I mean, what could be more important?!? For those of you with an Apple Watch, there is a software update available there as well to view the new emojis.
To download the new update, go to Settings > General > Software Update on your device. Have fun!
The Apple Watch event has come and gone, and we now know that what is probably considered the most anticipated smart watch will be available on April 24, 2015. Pre-orders and in store viewing will begin on April 10, 2015.
We learned that there will be several different models available, so there should be something to everyone’s liking available. If you want to get a head start on what watch tickles your fancy, you can head over to the Apple website and view through all the options.
Pricing starts at $349 for the 38mm Apple Watch Sport Edition, and goes all the way up to $17,000 for the Apple Watch 18k gold version. I personally like the 42mm size, so that will take me up to a minimum of $399 for an Apple Watch Sport. That may seem pricey to some, but any high quality watch comes with a higher price tag. Only time will tell if it is truly worth what Apple is asking.

Users of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+ will soon be able to use Apple Pay at Walt Disney World! As a huge Disney fan, this would make life so much easier as it is one less thing I have to carry around the park with me. As long as I have my phone, and hopefully soon to be Apple Watch, I’ll be able to make purchases throughout the park.
Apple has been advertising this feature as coming soon to WDW on their website for some time now, but according to WDWmagic, this will be happening on December 24, 2014. Merry Christmas to all of us!
Disneyland Resort is slated to go online sometime in 2015.
Look for one of the following symbols for locations where you can use Apple Pay.
I don’t know how long this will last, but if you have been thinking of getting that special someone a new Apple iPad for Christmas, then get your rear in gear and get to your local Best Buy or visit BestBuy.com.
The retail giant currently has all iPad Air 2’s on sale for $50 off, and all iPad Mini 3’s on sale for $100 off. That’s a great deal in and of itself, but if you happen to be a Best Buy Reward Zone member, you could also get a deeper discount by using any reward certificates you have saved up.
I don’t know when this sale will be ending, so act fast if you want to take advantage of it.
You may or may not have noticed a small change when you open up your App store on Wednesday. “Free” apps now display a button that says “Get”, instead of “Free”. If you browse around the app store you are sure to find one that is now labeled with a “Get” button. “Freemium” apps are often misleading, allowing users to download the app for free, but then requiring money to be spent in the app. This change appears on both the iOS app store and the desktop App Store.
When iOS 8 was released, many users with older devices such as the iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPad 3, and maybe some iPad 4 users found that the new software made their devices sluggish. Apple has been working hard at correcting this and has now released iOS 8.1.1.
I use an iPhone 4S from time to time, and I did notice how sluggish the device became when I downloaded iOS 8. When I learned that this new software was released, I quickly downloaded it and I can confirm that it has helped.
I haven’t had it installed long enough to know if all issues have been fixed, but it does definitely seem to be better now. If you have one of these older devices, try downloading iOS 8.1.1 and bring back some new life into your device.
Urgent, do not upgrade to iOS 8.0.1. Users around the world and myself are now experiencing no cell service and disabled TouchID. We will update this as we learn more.
Apple has realized their 12 Days of Gifts app. Starting December 26 through February 6, Apple will be gifting apps, books, movies and songs through the app. Think of it as 12 gifts from Apple over the holidays.
To take advantage of this, simply install the app on your iPhone or iPad. Be sure to enable push notifications when you open the app so you get alerts to the gifts.
You can install the app now via this link.
