Some screenshots of the Samsung Galaxy Altius have surfaced. The Galaxy Altius is said to be Samsung’s version of a smartwatch. The original post is in Korean but we were still able to make out some details. In all the screenshots you will see SKT in left upper corner meaning it will be able to be carried on a wireless carriers data plan.
Upper right hand corner:

- Code Altius
The Galaxy Altius appears to be running it’s own OS (Operating System), this could mean one of two things. It’s running software designed for the smartwatch itself or it could be a highly customized version of Android device.
You will also notice in another image that there is a music note with “Ring Soul” and a box with the play symbol indicating a music player. There is also the number 2 with an envelope next to it that could stand for text messages or emails.
It should be interesting to see how the overall project comes out. We are starting to see a large number of smartwatches, hit the market and now is the time if Samsung wants to join the madness.
Amazon, a well-known company for their on-line retail store and Kindle is looking to take another step into the technology world with a smartphone. Companies who supply hardware for Amazon’s rumored handset have confirmed that testing of the Amazon device is already underway.
We know Amazon uses Android on their Kindle Fire and Android would be the logical choice on any handset they offered. This would be a good fit for Amazon as they already have their own app store and could potentially skip Google certification and bypass the Android Market increasing their own revenue stream.
The WSJ (Wall Street Journal) has reported, “that the screen of Amazon’s smartphone currently being tested measures between four and five inches.”
I estimate the screen will end up at 4.5″ as larger screens start to be cumbersome. A lot of attention is being paid to Apple on what their next iPhone screen size will be as many feel 3.5″ is too small.
We all like leaked information on new devices and pictures are even better. Today we have a leaked picture that BGR got their hands of what might be AT&Ts first 4G LTE handset the Samsung Impulse 4G. There havent been many details on the Impulse 4G or a price tag, but its a pretty sleek looking device.
Potential specs include a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, an 8MP camera, and 1GHz processor. We will let you know more as we get info. We are just excited AT&T may soon legitimately be able to say the have a 4G phone. Read more
