Today is the one-year anniversary of Verizon’s 4G LTE network launch. When the company first launched its LTE service it hit 39 markets which included New York City, San Francisco, Chicago and Atlanta covering more than 110 million users. Verizon Wireless confirmed today in a press release that current CEO, Lowell McAdam will become Chairman when current Chairman Ivan Seidenberg retires on December 31. This really was no surprise as Mr. Seidenberg stepped down as CEO in July to begin preparing for retirement. Full press release after the break.
